First Libertarian Elected in New York

In 1993, Rebecca Wilber was elected to the Town Board in Woodstock, New York, in a four-way partisan race for two seats. Wilber ran on both the Libertarian and Republican tickets, and came in second with 25.2% of the total vote. Wilber is the first Libertarian to win elected office in New York.
