1995 Oklahoma City Bombing

Shortly after 9 a.m. April 19, 1995, a bomb destroyed the Alfred Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds more.

Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were later arrested, indicted and convicted of charges related to the bombing. McVeigh was executed. Nichols' brother James Nichols was questioned and arrested on unrelated explosives charges. McVeigh's friend Michael Fortier was indicted for consipiring with McVeigh and Nichols on various weapons offenses.
