ATF rehires agents fired over Waco

The Treasury Department's report on the 1993 ATF and FBI assault on the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas, blamed ATF agents Phillip Chojnacki and Chuck Sarabyn for the disaster. The two agents were placed on temporary leave in September 1993 and were fired on October 28, 1993.

The two agents appealed on October 31, and under a settlement with the ATF, received full back pay and benefits, had the incident removed from their personnel files and returned to work in new roles January 9, 1994.
