Jim Lewis (1934 - 1997)

Jim Lewis was a salesman and the 1984 vice presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party. He died of an apparent heart attack at the his home, known as the Libertarian House, in Norwich, Connecticut, on February 22, 1997.

Lewis campaigned in more than 40 states for the 1984 campaign. He co-authored Liberty Reclaimed with Jim Peron. In 1988, he was convicted of refusing to pay income taxes, and spent ten months in prison.
