1996 Elections in Wyoming
The Libertarian Party of Wyoming ran the
following candidates for office in the November 1996 elections:
- US Senate: W. David Herbert: final count 5,261 votes (2.5%)
- US Representative District 1: Dave Dawson: 8,261 votes (3.9%)
- State Senate District 26: James E. Blomquist: 968 votes (15.7%)
- State House District 25: Frank Hart: 501 votes (15.0%)
- State House District 29: Elmer Kuball: 128 votes (3.8%)
- State House District 40: Larry Gray: 607 votes (18.2%)
- State House District 42: Craig McCune (17.8%)
- Converse County Commission: Lewis Stock
- Natrona County Commission: Steve Richardson: 3,171 votes (6.4%)
The party retained "minor party" permanent ballot status by
exceeding 3% in the U.S. House race. The party did not achieve
the 10% required for "major party" status.
