1996 Elections in South Carolina
The Libertarian Party of South Carolina ran
the following candidates for office in the November 1996 elections:
- US Senate: Richard T. Quillian: 12,794 votes (1.1%)
- State House District 70: Marion Hopkins: 234 votes (2.9%)
- State House District 72: Walter Rolandi: 217 votes (2.2%)
- State House District 74: Julian Griffith Jr.: 698 votes (11.6%)
- State House District 81: Sarah Flemming: 1,265 votes (13.0%)
- State House District 89: Timothy Moultrie: 1,281 votes (15.1%)
- Aiken County Auditor: Ronald D. McCoy: 1,415 votes (3.3%)
- Calhoun County Council District 1: Ronald Houck: 77 votes (7.6%)
- Calhoun County Council District 2: Tom Arant: 184 votes (15.8%)
- Charleston County County, North Area: Rodney Travis: 6,001 votes (4.1%)
Libertarians also ran for nonpartisan office:
- Charleston County Constituent School Board: Jim Sims: 579 votes (4%)
- Charleston County Constituent School Board: Bill Woolsey: 1,497 votes (11%)
