The Libertarian Party of Nevada ran the following candidates for office in the November 1996 elections:

  • US Representative District 1: James Dan: with incomplete returns, 3,266 votes (2%)
  • US Representative District 2: Louis Tomburello: with 96% precincts reporting, 3,515 votes (1%)
  • State Senate District 2: Craig Kuntz: as of 10:30pm PST, 284 votes (4.9%)
  • State Senate District 3: Michael Prescott
  • State Senate District 5: Timothy Hagen: as of 10:30pm PST, 577 votes (4.1%)
  • State Senate District 8: Jerry Simms: as of 10:30pm PST, 341 votes (4.6%)
  • State Assembly District 3: Lewis Roesberry: as of 10:30pm PST, 57 votes (2.9%)
  • State Assembly District 5: Charles O'Neill: as of 10:30pm PST, 409 votes (24.3%)
  • State Assembly District 10: Paul R. Conte: as of 10:30pm PST, 88 votes (4.2%)
  • State Assembly District 11: Earle Severance: as of 10:30pm PST, 58 votes (4.3%)
