Three New Hampshire Libertarians Elected
Three Libertarians were elected in
New Hampshire's
March 12, 1996, local elections. The victories show the
Libertarian Party of New Hampshire's commitment
to building the party through grassroots efforts and gaining
candidate experience.
The winning Libertarians were:
John Lamb, Libertarian Party county coordinator
for Rockingham County, was the top vote-getter in the race for the
Plaistow,
New Hampshire, Planning Board, winning a one-year term.
Jeff Emery,
chair of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, was elected to a six-year
term to the nonpartisan office of Supervisor of the Checklist in
Wentworth,
New Hampshire.
"One of the reasons why we've been successful in New Hampshire is
... we are willing to start at the bottom, learn the process, and move up
the political ladder," said Emery of the three wins.
John Babiarz was elected Cemetery Trustee in
Grafton,
New Hampshire.
