1996 Elections in Missouri
The Missouri Libertarian Party ran the
following candidates for office in the November 1996 elections. The
party needed to get 2% of the vote for governor, lieutenant governor
or secretary of state to gain ballot status -- all three candidates
met that requirement.
- Governor: J. Mark Oglesby: 51,414 votes (2.4%)
- Lieutenant Governor: Jeanne Bojarski: 55,460 votes (2.6%)
- Secretary of State: LaDonna Higgins: 50,911 votes (2.4%)
- State Treasurer: Jacques Tucker: 44,417 votes (2.1%)
- US Representative District 1: Tamara Millay
- US Representative District 2: Anton Stever
- US Representative District 3: Jim Burnes
- US Representative District 4: Ed Hoag
- US Representative District 5: Kevin Hertel

The party retained ballot status through the 2000 elections, needing
only 2% in any of the statewide races to do so.
