1995 Election Results

More than 75 Libertarians ran in campaigns in at least 12 states, with at least five winning. Due to the nature of the off-year elections, most of the races were nonpartisan.

  • Cameron Bailey, 658 votes (47%) for Snohomish, Washington, City Council
  • Kelly Haughton, 5,395 votes (46%) for Pierce County, Washington, Charter Review Commission
  • Glenn Barr, 37% for Walker, Michigan, City Council
  • Carol Stuckey Hill, 32.1% for Leadville, Colorado, City Council
  • Dan Blachly, 2,342 votes (32%) for Pierce County, Washington, Charter Review Commission
  • Mark Messics, 31% for Orefield Township, Pennsylvania, Supervisor
  • Grace Matelyn, 30% for West Bradford Township, Pennsylvania, Supervisor
  • Ken Krawchuk, 25% for Abington Township, Pennsylvania, Commissioner
  • Brian McHugh, 23% for Abington Township, Pennsylvania, Commissioner
  • Jim Campton, 2,345 votes (22%) for Federal Way, Washington, City Council
  • Jim Berns, 21% for Cincinnati, Ohio, School Board

  • Austin Lett, 16% for Chatham, New Jersey, Township Committee
  • Richard Shepard, 1,996 votes (16%) for Pierce County, Washington, Charter Review Commission

  • Dale Reed, 2,501 votes (10%) for Highline School District 401, Washington
  • Art Rathjen, 2,258 votes (10%) for Washington State Senate, District 43
