Theodora "Tonie" Nathan was the Libertarian Party's first vice presidential candidate (in 1972) and was the first woman ever to receive an electoral vote, predating Geraldine Ferraro by more than a decade. She founded the Association of Libertarian Feminists and is still an energetic Libertarian activist in Oregon.
