Was responsible for business management, including bookkeeping, budgeting and supervising independent contractors for writing, advertising sales and newspaper delivery.
Sold advertising, with revenues steadily built up to approximately $3,000 per month.
Designed advertising for clients, as well as advertising and brochures for newspaper itself.
Wrote articles on news items, features, opinion and humor.
Edited other writers' articles.
Was main photographer for newspaper.
Did layout for entire newspaper, including ads, photos, and stories, in black-and-white, spot color and process color.
Oversaw delivery of 5,000 copies of the newspaper to approximately 200 locations across the greater Pensacola area.
Developed a solid and extensive network of contacts for arts, music, restaurants and nightlife in Pensacola.
Gained extensive expertise in using QuarkXpress and Adobe Photoshop software.
