I have an extensive range of professional communication skills
including writing, speaking, training, and all aspects of publishing.
Experience: about six years
in professional journalism
with The Tifton Gazette, The Real Paper,
and Boogie Pensacola,
plus more than ten years of incidental communications
experience including CTM speaker's certification. Publishing: Reporting, writing, editing,
page design, advertising design, brochure/flyer design, Web site design.
Software: QuarkXpress, Photoshop. Knowledge Transfer: Research, speaking,
training, process documentation.
COMPUTER
I have an extensive range of computer skills including network
engineering, system administration and software development.
Experience: more than ten years with advanced
technology companies including the Houston Advanced Research Center and
Gulf Coast Internet Company. Network Engineering: Extensive skills in
LAN/WAN design, installation, administration and troubleshooting,
with everything from basic Ethernet and dial-up networks to high-speed
dedicated lines and advanced routing topologies. System Administration: Extensive skills with
many varieties of Unix-like operating systems, including system design,
software installation, server administration, Internet administration
(DNS/e-mail/FTP/web), and server security and firewalling.
Regrettably, some experience with Windows NT. Software Development: Extensive skills in C/C++
development for Unix-like operating systems, including graphical user
interface (GUI) design, specialized device I/O, networking protocols,
database integration, and Web integration.
